They are the former pro players of Full Tilt poker and now they are plying their trade in a strange new world where the online game is just a dream. Players like Phil Ivey and Danieal Negreanu are now without the very site that helped to make them famous, Ivey is caught up to the hilt in the Full Tilt Poker scandal. With the second largest poker site in the world practically bust the former Full Tilt sponsored players have all gone their separate ways in a bid to keep playing at the same level that they are used to. Daniel Negreanu has moved to his native Canada in order to bypass the US prohibition on online poker and keep the money rolling in. Ivey has gone quiet since it became clear that he was heavily involved with financial dealings at the poker site to the tune of millions of dollars worth of credit that was extended to him by the site. Other players such as Gus Hanson have been keeping a low profile and still haven’t announced where they are playing online. Hansen couldn’t maintain his low profile at the 2011 World Series of Poker (WSOP) however as he came in second place in the $25,000 buy-in No Limit Hold ‘em event at the end of May for a cool $283,966. That is small potatoes for the Danish pro who has been known to both win and lose over a million dollars at a time.
